In May 2007, I co-presented the "Identifying New Trends in Contract Relationships" continuing education session at the OAA/RAIC Conference, which was held at the Sheraton Centre in downtown Toronto. The presentation focused on evolving alternative construction procurement processes and the impact they are having on construction contract administration and the resulting challenges facing architectural practices. The attendees were largely Contract Administrators, and according to the evaluation sheets, the topic was well-covered and appreciated by all. During the presentation, it became apparent that there was a lack of a public forum for contract administrators to discuss research issues, and that there was a definite interest in the existence of such a forum. This site has been created to fill that void.
